I started taking lessons at Duan Fort Lauderdale Tennis Academy as a complete beginner, and it has been a great experience. The coaching is very clear and easy to follow, even if you’ve never played tennis before. My coach broke down the basics like grip, footwork, and swing in a way that actually made sense. I never felt rushed, and there was a lot of patience when I made mistakes. The drills are simple but effective, and I could see improvement within just a few sessions. The lessons also stay active and fun, so it doesn’t feel boring or repetitive. I like that there’s a good balance between technique and actually hitting balls. Overall, it’s been a really solid place for me to start learning tennis and building confidence on the court.

I took several lessons with Adam and he is fantastic coach. He tailors the lessons to what you want to improve on and for me he improved my serve, volleys, and forehand technique by at least 50% each. He is a patient and creative coach as well as a fantastic player

Adam is a great coach! I’m already noticing improvements in my game after just two lessons. What I appreciate most is his ability to explain complex concepts clearly and simply. He pays close attention to detail when making technical adjustments to strokes and serves, and he’s patient and easy to work with. Adam is also a top-level player (formerly ranked No. 15 nationally and played D1 tennis at Wake Forest), and finding someone with his playing background who can also explain technical concepts so clearly is rare. I highly recommend him for players of any level!

He is a very good coach, with patience and careful guidance. He is humorous and has fun training with children. My daughter has made great progress under the guidance of Coach Duan.
